The site i have chosen to create is an American sports news website that only aims at sports that are popular in America, i decided to do this site as i felt it offered me a challenge and was the best to test the abilities i have learned in this module so far. I believe the site is needed because after doing some research on other news related sites such as bbc and fox i sometimes find that the American sports can get over looked or are hard to locate, so with my site it aims specifically at users who have an interest in these types of sports. I will say that i do believe that my site is on a limited users bases as i said earlier my site is only aimed at people who enjoy American sports so people who just so happen to fall onto my site really wouldnt have an understanding of the site.

I have gone for a site that is easy to read as well as navigate, the options on the side of the site are easily noticeable and are available on every page, as well as these icons there are also back buttons when you click on specific articles which will return you to the page you was last on. With the site i have used a sports related template as this is relavent to the type of website i have created and the colour scheme is easy on the eye. The template took a while to choose as the first scheme i chose was a little dark and put huge emphasis on a picture that i didnt want to be the centre of my site.

I believe my site is a very unique look onto sports and offers a more personal attraction to certain users it also allows a better experience with the news with features such as polls and also the use of a guest book that allows users to promote there opinion, with that in mind a downside to webnode was i wasnt able to find a way to filter out bad comments on the guest book.

the negative's in regard to my site i think the strong one will be the template as much as i think it suits the sports news theme i have going i think the theme makes it a look a bit to blog like for me and the other sport related themes didnt offer much better with the better themes you having to pay for. Another negative is this site would need a lot of work done after it is live as i couldnt work out a way to add a feature that would update you with the latest news such as a widget.

Finally i will say that i would fully recommend this free version of webnode as it is simple for people of all abilities to use and the basic items you need are easy to access my only issue with it is it can be a little difficult to do the more advance stuff as they seem to hidden from the users.
